Songs written slowly, for people who listen slowly.

About

A voice that learned to wait.

John Sanders has been writing since he was seventeen and recorded his first album at thirty-two. The gap was not wasted: bars, weddings, borrowed rehearsal rooms and one notebook that survived three moves.

The songs are about small things - a door closing, a phone that does not ring, late afternoon light in an empty flat. The production follows: guitar, voice, and only what the song asks for.

“I don’t write to explain. I write to leave the thing as it is.”
